ICE CARVING CLASS
This course is specifically designed for the novice to the professional.
This course is designed by Deborah Hibbert and taught by Chef Clifton Hibbert of Ice King Creations, specializing in ice sculptures, fruit carving, Ice demonstrations, catering, ice and fruit classes and event planning.
FIRST DAY - SEPTEMBER 23, 2013
(6:00 pm (up to) - 8:00 pm) "ALL ABOUT ICE"
- Ice Carving as a discussion
- Type of tools used, description & safety skills relating to carving
- Safety skills related to lowering, lifting, splitting, loading and unloading, delivery (critical art of safety transporting ice carving), setup.
- Secrets of learning how to draw on ice block with confidence regardless of previous experience
- Developing patience to ensure excellence, even when rushed
- Maximizing the block for creativity
- Secrets of snow filled sculpture
- Considerations for adjusting your final design for time, temperature, and atmosphere
- Storage of ice carving - will first hand see on second day
- Chef Clifton will have available a half of block of ice available for tutorial class
- Walkthrough of Ice Carving Company (where you can first hand see how ice block is made and stored)
- Carving ice block with Chef Clifton using his step by step method from preparation, executing and presentation as easy as 1-2-3 method
Ice King Creations will provide all necessary tools, equipment, and 1 ice block per student. Warning: This lesson will be an intensive hands on course…..so be prepared to wear your proper gear.., students will be required to bring back support belts, “if needed”, boots, gloves, eye protection, freezer coat, camera(not mandatory). Students will take ice sculpture home, so please have necessary vehicle and blanket/tarp available.
It is our goal to provide each student with the knowledge and skills necessary to help start, further, and enhance the art of Ice Sculpting! Age--18 and older. See you in class!

Ticket sales are $225. To reserve your space, a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $75 is due from now until Tues, Aug 20. Your last payment of $150 will be due NO LATER than Saturday, Sept 4. Two simple and easy payments. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Early Birds (Submit deposit
between Aug 21 – Aug 28):
Ticket sales are $250. To reserve your seat, a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $100 is due from Wed Aug 21 to Wed, Aug. 28 . Your last payment of $150 will be due NO LATER than Sept 4. Two simple and easy payments. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
General Admission (Submit payment
between Sept 5 – Sept 12):
Ticket sales are $275 and are available from Thurs Sept 5 to Thurs, Sept 12. Payments are required in full at that time.
Late Birds (Available after Sept 12):
Ticket sales are $300 and are available from Fri, Sept 13 – Fri, Sept 20. Payments are required in full at that time.
*Please note that all deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, unless there is a class cancellation by Chef Clifton Hibbert, in which case he will refund any deposits and additional monies paid. If you have submitted your second payment and need to cancel your attendance, that second payment (not including your deposit) will be refunded for any cancellations submitted before September 4. ALL payments are due by midnight on the exact dates listed above, NO EXCEPTIONS. We have created a wide window for everyone to be able to make their payments in a timely fashion and it will be most beneficial not to wait till the last day to submit any payments.

In order to receive a certificate of completion, students needs to take 5 more hands on classes value at $150 each (price includes cost of ice block, usage of tools, and one on one with Chef Clifton) for reservation, please contact email@example.com
Ice Carving Tools will be on sale after "Hands On" class.
Please note that all tools, ice, artwork, resources, and supplies are the property of Ice King Creations and are to remain at facility unless otherwise noted. Ice King Creations reserves the right to discard, donate, or offer for sale any ice sculpture completed through its courses of instruction. Should student decide to take home ice carving, Ice King Creations will give student two days to pick up.
Carving ice involves activities, tools, and equipment that are dangerous. I understand and agree that Ice King Creations and its instructors, officers, administrators, other participants, and assigns will not be held liable for any personal injury that results in usage of tools nd equipment.
