Ice House Entrepreneurial Mindset Training
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Eckerd College is pleased to host a 9-week Ice House Entrepreneurial Mindset Training course that focuses on helping students develop entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviors, and skills.
Based on Gary Schoeniger and Clifton Taulbert's acclaimed book, Who Owns the Ice House? Eight Life Lessons From An Unlikely Entrepreneur, this invigorating course introduces students to the stories of over a dozen everyday entrepreneurs and challenges them to develop their entrepreneurial ideas through group activities and testing their ideas against real-world circumstances. It also provides a great opportunity for networking with local entrepreneurs who provide critical guidance and ongoing support.
The course is taught by Chrissy Jackson, a serial entrepreneur who currently runs two for-profit and two nonprofit businesses. As a lifelong educator, Chrissy has written textbooks and provided training for national trade organizations as well as regional meetings and specialized employer/employee programs.
The course meets Monday evenings, 6:00-9:00PM, January 23-March 20, 2017 at Eckerd College (located at 4200 54th Avenue South, St. Petersburg 33711). Registration opens November 14th.
Tuition is $325 and includes all books and materials.
