iCare will be hosting its 3rd Annual 5K run/walk in support of it's "Feed the 5000" campaign to provide meals and groceries to homeless citizens, homeless veterans and low-income senior citizens and families.
iCare's 5K is a great way to give back and get fit in process. In addition all participants receive wonderful medals, a t-shirt and GREAT food as a part of the registration cost. The top 3 finishers will receive a special medal.
The event will start at 9am for adults and children. The 5k race (3.1 miles) begins and ends near the Glenn Dale Community Center on the WB&A trail. This is a flat course with beautiful scenic views. Race times will be posted a few days after the event on the iCare website and iCare's Facebook page.
Guests are invited and encouraged to bring a canned good or non perishable item to help support the cause.
