IBM Cognos Dynamic Cube Modeling
Data warehouses are only getting bigger. As companies capture larger and larger amounts of mission critical data, accessing and analyzing that information while maintaining high performance levels becomes a challenge. Using an intricate and versatile ecosystem of caching, aggregation, and star/snowflake schema utilization, IBM Cognos Dynamic Cubes meet even the most rigorous performance requirements and provide the timely, comprehensive access to large data sets that many organizations now require.
Ironside’s two-day Dynamic Cube Modeling course gives metadata modelers a deep understanding of the entire dynamic cube lifecycle, from project creation through to publishing and activating completed cubes. After taking this course, participants will have the skills to confidently deploy dynamic cubes where and when needed and optimize those cubes’ interactions with their environment.
- Understand the OLAP principles informing dynamic cubes
- Navigate and bring data into the IBM Cognos Cube Designer tool
- Build out and publish fully functional dynamic cubes and modify their back-end settings to fit the environment
Each topic will be highlighted with in-depth demos, Q&A sessions, and tips and techniques drawn from over 15 years of cross industry experience.
The curriculum is based on the most recent version of IBM Cognos BI, and uses the sample data sources included in the IBM Cognos BI 10.2.1 Samples package. For an even more enriching experience, the course content can be entirely customized to any customer’s environment, including, but not limited to the tutorials and workshops.
All our instructors are IBM Cognos certified. In addition, they provide the benefit of having up to 15 years of real-world experience.
Our manuals are aimed at self-study.
