Join IATLC's year-long, professional development series led by trainers from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages!

About this event

The Idaho Association of Languages and Culture (IATLC) is proud to present the 2021 Fall Virtual Conference and year-long professional development series called "Honing Our Practice: Guiding Learners to Higher Levels of Proficiency."

Thanks to funding from the Idaho State Department of Education (SDE) we can provide this essential workshop series FREE of charge to language educators, advocates and students. The series will orient and empower language teachers in the use of proficiency-based teaching and assessment strategies. Help learners work toward the Idaho Seal of Biliteracy no matter how large or small your program is!

Join us for free , live online sessions led by ACTFL facilitators starting on Sept. 11th, 2021 and concluding Aug. 6, 2022! Become an IATLC member to support language learning in our state and access bonus online learning modules that lead to certification from ACTFL. These modules complement the live sessions and can be completed at your own pace.

Who We Are:

We are Idaho's professional organization for teachers of world languages and cultures. Our membership is comprised of active, in-service teachers, pre-service teachers, retirees, and other community members who are invested in the study of world languages in the state.

What We Do:

Our mission is to improve the instruction of languages and cultures in the state through the exchange of ideas with other teachers, and to promote the study and awareness of those languages and cultures. We strive to be on the forefront of effective, research-based pedagogy.
