Excursion to Quartzsite Daily

Please come and join IASTA for a fabulous weekend in Quartzsite, AZ! MLK weekend (Jan 18-21, 2019)

We will be combining two events;
our Annual trip to Quartzsite for the largest
Rock and Gem show in the West
and this year we will have a special treat!

The Total Eclipse of the Moon!
The eclipse will occur between 7:30 and 11:30 PST
on Sunday. We will be viewing from a location in Blythe.
There will be clear sky and great people
to share this Celestial Event with.

Bring Family and friends! All are welcome.

This is a self-guided excursion. Members will meet to determine visits or simply go on their own and explore. We will provide our expertise from experience of attending prior years. It does change a bit every year and exploring may yield a great find.

We will conduct our IASTA meeting on Sunday Jan. 20, 2019, time and location TBD. Hotel reservations, transportation and meals are responsibility of attendees. We provide knowledge, experience and professional camaraderie with science colleagues. Members usually lodge in Blythe then trek to Quartzsite during the day in search of treasures. If you have an RV, camping and RV parks are available but busy this time of year.

Please RSVP so we have your contact info and can confirm locations. Questions? Send them to info@iasta.org
