IAPT PG Diploma in CBT Open Evening 2017

Are you a mental health professional with at least 2 years clinical experience looking to expand your horizons? Why not consider training as a CBT therapist?
This open evening is an opportunity for you to come and find out about the funded London IAPT PG Diploma in CBT.
Meet the course directors, academic and clinical tutors and current students who will be in attendance to tell you more about the course, and answer any questions you may have.
These courses at the IoPPN/King's College London and Royal Holloway (CNWL) are currently part of and funded by the Department of Health’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies initiative. A one year training contract enabling therapists to work in IAPT services whilst being trained in evidence-based CBT for adults with depression and anxiety disorders. CBT training and supervision is provided by CBT experts on the course.
The overall aim of the course is to provide practical, intensive and detailed training to facilitate skills development and competence in CBT. It aims to equip students to become skilled and creative independent CBT practitioners in accordance with BABCP guidelines. Students will also develop critical knowledge of the theoretical and research literature relating to CBT.
Both courses are fully BABCP accredited and lead to CBT therapist accreditation on completion.
Sheena Liness, Course Director (King's) & Dr Michael Worrell, Programme Director (Royal Holloway) will present a formal overview of the IAPT PG Diploma in CBT at 6:00pm.
