Event description

Description

We need your voice!
How and why the public should be engaged in highly technical and complex projects

Public engagement processes on highly technical and complex projects frequently get mired in delays, demonstrations, organized resistance and litigation. In an evening of conversation with you, we hope to learn what public participation (p2) practitioners and other engagement professional think about the p2 practices being used in these projects and how the public can be engaged more effectively in the future.

Join the IAP2 Puget Sound Chapter for an evening of facilitated small group dialogue where you can share your perspective, listen to others, and help develop ideas and recommendations for better engagement processes. We’ll discuss:

  • Who should be involved and why?

  • How can decision makers integrate regulatory requirements and meaningful p2?

  • Which tools and techniques to use and why?

  • Wednesday, Sept. 25, 5:30-7 p.m.
