Event description

Description

Please join us for a special lecture and discussion hosted by the Institute of Arts & Humanities (IAH) at UC San Diego. This event is FREE and open to the public.

This talk will feature Professor Rachel Buff, who will discuss the topic of her latest book "Against the Deportation Terror" which brings to light a critical but forgotten legacy of multiracial immigrant rights organizing and advocacy. Her timely history lesson helps provide valuable insight on the current national movement.

The lecture will also feature special guest and UC San Diego student, Luis Cruz Cardoso, a legal assistant intern at the UC San Diego Undocumented Student Services Center, sharing his perspective after having grown up in a mixed status household, and being undocumented himself.

Please RSVP - space is limited!

PARKING: The closest parking is in the Pangea Parking Garage. *Note all visitors must purchase a temporary parking permit at the lot, as there is no free parking on campus. (Read campus parking details)

DIRECTIONS: The lecture is located in Building #1 in the Village at North Torrey Pines, on the 15th floor. The building is a residential dorm, with meeting rooms on the top floor, accessed by the elevator in the lobby. The building is on the corner of UCSD Northpoint Driveway and Scholars Drive N. (MAP)
