Event description

Description

The IAC and Congregation Beth Shalom invite you to a fascinating evening about The Israeli story through Naomi’s Shemer’s life-story.

Shemer (1930-2004) is one of the most famous Israeli musician, songwriter, and composer, whose music was sung by so many and had such a vast and dramatic effect on the Jewish and Israeli narrative.

Over 1000 songs and tunes were written and composed by Shemer, most of them are sung together with the story of the state of Israel, since its birth, following its happy days as well as the sad, up to our present time.

Speaker: Roy Rimshon, a self-confessed Naomi Shemer enthusiast. Roy brings light and life to Shemer’s story.

Light refreshment will be served.
