Description

World-renowned wildlife photographer Amos Nachoum has one final photographic dream remaining - to photograph a Polar Bear underwater while swimming alongside it. The film follows Amos in the Canadian Arctic, as he prepares for his ultimate challenge. As the journey unfolds, so does an intimate and painful story of dedication, sacrifice, and personal redemption.

Guest speaker: Yonatan Nir, film director

Yonatan Nir is an award-winning producer and director and former photojournalist, known for Dolphin Boy, My Hero Brother and more. Nir is a highly sought after speaker, who talks to thousands of people around the world every month about storytelling as a tool for rehabilitation, empowerment and personal growth.

בגיל 65, בשלהי קריירה מפוארת, יוצא צלם הטבע הנודע עמוס נחום למסע אל עבר התמונה היחידה שחסרה לו.
אחרי שצילם את כל ענקי האוקיינוס הוא מתכוון לצלם הפעם, במישורים האינסופיים של קנדה הארקטית, דוב קוטב צולל, פנים אל פנים וללא אמצעי הגנה.
בעבר ניסה לצלם את התמונה הזו וכמעט נטרף, אבל משהו דוחף אותו לנסות לעשות זאת שוב.

The IAC Cinematec was founded by Dr. Etti Inbal, to introduce Israeli films, filmmakers, and daily life in Israel to the US public. The goal is to create a community of Israeli and American films’ fans and to encourage a dialog between them. The films will be screened with English subtitles. A guest speaker (Director, Actor, or a film professional) will discuss issues related to the film in English.
