Navigating Difficult Conversations
Through this highly interactive educational program, office and administrative professionals will discuss and practice techniques to navigating difficult conversations. This is an opportunity for learners to take their leadership skills to the next level by dissecting confrontation and understanding how to move forward by utilizing emotional intelligence.
Learning Objectives: Through the educational activity, learners will discuss and practice:
- How to prepare for, and how to lead, a difficult conversation (whether its with a co-worker, boss, friend, family member, etc.)
- Techniques for managing their own emotional response
- Tips for handling defensiveness or a negative response from the other person
- How to move forward after the conversation and keep the relationship intact
Program has been approved for 1.5 recertification points.
