In the last 10 years he has worked full time delivering Microsoft Office and Adobe graphics courses to individuals and corporate groups. He achieved Adobe Certified Expert certification in Photoshop and is a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Word. 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM | Other Social Media | Ben LeMay

"Social Media" platforms using Twitter, Instagram, and the professional/business side of Facebook (time permitting).

Ben LeMay graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies. After finishing school, I found myself like many other new grads, looking for a job in my desired field of marketing and communications. Every entry level job posting wanted someone with experience, but how could I get experience? That is when I started a digital communications firm with a partner. We began offering communications services to small businesses and organizations in Ottawa that I still operate on a part time basis. I currently work full-time for Myers Automotive Group as a Digital Marketing Coordinator. We manage 13 car dealerships in the Ottawa area and I specialize in developing digital marketing strategies using social media platforms to deliver a desired message to our target audience. In my experiences in different roles, companies and organizations, Linkedin has always played an integral role in my success. Linkedin is your online work history portfolio and digital business card. Using Linkedin I have been able to connect with key decision makers, potential employers, employees, clients and more. Today I hope to provide you with a hands-on experience to help you better navigate the Linkedin platform and demonstrate the power of creating an online network. In today’s digital world, building a personal brand is essential to provide potential employers, employees or clients with the right first impression. You work hard, might as well show it off!

Bring your Wi-Fi enabled laptop or tablet with Microsoft Office installed (Windows or Mac) and work along!

Saturday registration includes breakfast, break and lunch.
