Join us for a day of professional development at IAAP's spring "Clinical Skills Boot Camp". Continuing education units (hours): 6

About this Event

Sponsored by the Governors State University (GSU) Department of Addiction Studies & Behavioral Health; and the GSU Students of Addictions Studies Club.

In this all-day workshop, students and professionals will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge-base and hone the clinical skills necessary to address the pressing issues currently confronting the addiction treatment field, and those it serves. Session topics include:

• Integrating Evidence-Based Treatment Practices (EBTP)

• Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT)

• The Impacts of the Legalization of Medical Marijuana

• Understanding & Effectively Implementing ASAM Criteria

Through various workshop exercises and interactive case studies, participants will be challenged to consider ways in which they can incorporate EBTP into the areas of assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
