All you have to do is show up and we’ll provide all the ingredients and equipment needed for making one sweet and one savory canned good.

This month, Erin Simmons, of Tasty and Sons, will share her recipe for Pickled Carrots, and Pastry Chef, Meredith Mortensen will be walking you through Salted Caramel Sauce. We’ll also have light nibbles and beverages,  and a station set up with all the crafty materials you’ll need to make your jars look extra special (think sparkly labels, vintage ribbon, and an array of fabric toppers).

Meredith Mortensen

Meredith is a pastry chef, teacher and jam and pickle enthusiast. She's been playing in the kitchen since she was a little girl and loves sharing her love of homemade goodies with others. She currently teaches at the Art Institute of Portland Culinary school, and provides culinary classes, cooking demos, pop-up style dinner parties and other events in Portland, OR.
