Event description

Description

Glory Ave Entertainment is an independent record company based out of the Bronx, New York specializing in artist development and managent. The company has R&B, Hip Hop, and Production artists who have worked with the heavy hitters in the music industry.

Cream Team (of Savoir Faire Entertainment) is a movement which puts the focus and attention back where it should be - The Artist. With experience in artist and repertoire and expertise in cabaret music events, Cream Team is comprised of artists who celebrate and support each other not to make money but to make art.

Together Glory Ave and Cream Team created the I Am Song concert series which celebrates great music at niche venues. Artists don't sign up or wait hours to perform. Unlike the showcase or open mic type of show I Am Song is an organized celebration of music for people who want to hear more than the same 3 artists on the radio all day.

Date - Saturday October 21 - I am Song

Featured Artists include:

Michelle Singz is a young soulful songstress from the Bronx who has songs on Apple Music, Spodify, and Youtube including favorites "Tuesday", "I Don't Deserve You" and "Different Kind of Love". Michelle has performed at the legendary Appollo, SOB's and on October 21 she blesses the Sugar Bar stage.

Ayaka Yamamoto is a sonsgress from Japan who currently resides in Brooklyn. Although petite in frame, her range has no limit. Her covers, her original songwriting, and her talent will amaze you.

Honest Abe is a poet from Brooklyn. His name comes from a combination of his name and a description of his poetry. Raw, real, and of course honest.

Venue - Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar was founded by the legendary songwriters and singers Ashford & Simpson. Need we say more? The cuisine is an afro-soul-caribbean fusion of delicious. And everyone from Stevie Wonder to R Kelly to the late great Maya Angelou has blessed the stage. And the audience members have varied from Whoopi Goldberg to Bruce Willis.

Whether you want to have an intimate date night and sit on the main floor or mingle with the singles as Brian the Mixologist crafts signature drinks - this is the event for you

Host - Alexander The Griot is a poet and host who MC's the evening, navigating the show, celebrating birthdays, and keeping the crowd engaged.

DJ - While the show is live, we have to entertain you between sets. DJ Royal is a super producer and deejay who plays all of your favorite R&B hits all night long.

Time - Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8PM

We have the great artists, the delicious food, and the signature drinks. Now all we need is you <3
