Event description

Description

“As a professional hypnotherapist I can honestly say that Thom’s courses have all surpassed any other trainings I have been on before.” – Roger Foxwell, Clinical Hypnotherapist

“Thom's energetic skills-based course kept our group of experienced hypnotherapists fully engrossed.” - Marion Robb, Clinical Hypnotherapist

“Thom is an excellent trainer, and being a great hypnotherapist himself, we were able to observe and model his behaviour throughout the course.” – Claire Dickinson, NLP Master Practitioner

Generally, the most common question which I get asked by Hypnotherapists is, “How do you always seem to know what to say to the hypnotised client in a way that sounds so meaningful to each individual?”

Recently, a very similar question was poised in a discussion with Hypnotherapy Trainers. I was asked, “What do you think are the key differences which make the real difference when presenting instructions to the hypnotised client?”

To which I responded, “You have to make each trance highly personal to that particular client, actively engage their unconscious mind, blend direct and indirect communication, and most importantly everything must flow.”

When they replied, “Is there a model for learning to master this?” I decided to develop a NEW hypnosis model, so that people can quickly learn to develop what I call Hypnotic Flow.

Hypnotic Flow is the ability to seamlessly deliver process instructions to the hypnotised person. Hypnotic Flow involves a seamless movement from one altered state of consciousness to another, from one set of instructions to another in a way which maximises the unconscious response by the client. Through detailed examples, live demonstrations, practical exercises and discussions, I will teach you how to do away with hypnosis scripts, artfully sequence instructions, engage the client’s unconscious by making each trance highly personal to their unique needs, develop your own unique style by drawing upon your library of life experiences, deepen hypnotic rapport and thus maximise the effectiveness of the overall hypnotic effect.

The method is so simple that it can be quickly learnt by a novice, and yet unique enough to provide experience hypnotherapists with a new approach that integrates seamlessly with their existing skill set. In fact, I’ve called the method SIMPLE, which is an easy to remember acronym for the following principles:

Shillaw SIMPLE “Hypnotic Flow” Method:

  • Subconscious response
  • Instruction
  • Movement
  • Personalise
  • Link
  • Example

The purpose of this seminar is for you to gain practical experience with this SIMPLE Method, so that you will be able to start using the principles of Hypnotic Flow in your own trance work immediately upon completion of the course.

*The above model is the intellectual property of its developer, Thom Shillaw. Unauthorised teaching of this model without permission is strictly prohibited.

Selected Testimonials

“I would be delighted to recommend Thom as a teacher of hypnotherapy. His intensive hypnotherapy course was tremendously enjoyable, inspiring and fundamental to my own life journey as well as my journey to becoming a practicing hypnotherapist. I now feel confident writing without replying upon scripts and able to assist others with the transformation they seek. The structure and pace of the course was ideal, and the demonstrations really fascinating. I also really enjoyed getting to know the others on the course and spending time with the group after the course and in the lunch breaks. Thom is a truly inspirational teacher and mentor.” Nicola Coates-Dutton, Clinical Hypnotherapist

"A fantastic course! Thom has a huge amount of skill, passion and enthusiasm for hypnosis and just as importantly excels in teaching these skills to others. We were quite a mixed bunch ranging from people with no experience of hypnosis right through to practicing hypnotists looking to add different techniques and new skills to their repertoire. However, whatever level we were at didn’t matter as Thom always pitched things at the right level through a well balanced mixture of theory, demonstrations and practice. Everyone left the course buzzing with what they had learned and confident in their ability to not only practice hypnosis but to do so without relying on scripts prepared by others. No matter what experience you currently have, whether you want to learn hypnosis from scratch or add to what you already know, I would highly recommend this course.” - Elaine Henderson, Mindfulness Trainer

“I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning about hypnotherapy or becoming a hypnotherapist. As an NLP Practitioner I found this course extremely complementary to that practice. The course content was a good mix of methodology, structure, specific patterns & techniques and supervised practice. We learnt how to structure hypnotic language patterns ourselves and I was surprised how easily this was flowing by the end. Before doing this course, I was avoiding using hypnotherapy within my NLP practice but am now employing hypnotherapy confidently with my NLP clients. Thom is an excellent trainer, and being a great hypnotherapist himself, we were able to observe and model his behaviour throughout the course. Thom ensured we got a lot of work covered, that it was delivered in a way we really learnt it, and allowed for time for us to practice everything, whilst he supervised and gave feedback. The end result was a course where I learnt loads and had a lot of fun doing it.” Claire Dickinson, NLP Practitioner
