Event description

Description

HYHK is back with another outdoor film festival!

The 2019 HYHK Film Fest submissions will center around themes of home, and diaspora. Our goal is to have the work of local, international, and independent filmmakers inspire the public’s meditation on tradition and culture. We hope that this will encourage the celebration of cosmopolitanism, and the triumph of diversity in divisive times.

The showcase commences Monday, September 16, 2019 and will conclude Thursday, September 19, 2019. Each night beginning at 7:00 pm, there will be a mix of feature length and short films.

Tickets are available, and limited VIP seating is available for $15. Must bring proof of purchase to enter.

Please keep in mind that this is an outdoor event and seating is limited. We recommend bringing chairs, yoga mats, blankets, etc :)

We are proud to announce the screening of 2018 Tribeca Film Festival Official Selection "The Feeling of Being Watched." A documenary by Assia Bendaoui about an FBI surveillance that took place in her Arab-American community in Chicago. More information here.
