Hygge pronounced "Hoogah" is a concept based on the Danish way of life. Hygge cannot be defined as one single word, rather it includes many pleasures we associate with everyday living, especially "cosiness". Hygge can apply all year round for all the community to enjoy. We hope to make this a quarterly event.
Hygge means relaxing with friends, eating good food, treats like candied apples, drinking fruit teas, wearing cosy socks and snuggling under blankets, positive conversation, making crafts with our children, story telling, being kind, and all things cosy. This relaxing event is taking place at Hazeldene Rare Breeds farm in Asheridge Vale Chesham. The stunning picturesque views are the perfect setting for a gathering of good friends and familes to gather around the fire, make a bees wax or soya candle, make a magic wand, drink a quality hot chocolate, a BBQ from the farm rare breeds, connecting activities for the children, and live acoustic music and DJ with feelgood music. Hygge a complete absense of anything annoying or emotionally overwhelming - coming to Chesham on November the 12th - the only rush is to get your ticket now. With live music from Sharon Lewis as lady ukelele.
Please note this will be an alcohol free event, and ticket only so please make sure to print out your ticket to show at the gate, and please be sure to wear warm clothing and sensible boots. We would also encourage you to either walk to the event, or take a taxi if the weather is wet as the parking field can get muddy in wet weather. If the weather is dry there will be parking available in the big field as you come into the farm. We will give updates closer to the event please go to facebook.com/cheshamlives for regular posts and updates on this event.
