Description

Hydroponics is a growing alternative to produce high quality and profitable specialty crops such as herbs, greens and cut flowers in places that are not suitable for cultivation. Hydroponic technologies also have the advantage of increasing production per square foot in comparison with traditional agriculture.

This program provides basic principles for the prospective or novice hydroponic growers. Attendees will learn about hydroponic growing techniques with hands on demonstrations. This class will be conducted by Tatiana Sanchez, Commercial Horticulture Agent, from Alachua County, and Francisco Rivera, Small Farms & Alaternative Enterprise Agent, from Hillsborough County. An advanced class will be held on September 29.

Registration fee is $20.00 if by August 13th, after August 13th the registration fee will be $25.00. No refunds
