The Hydatidiform Mole Follow-Up Service (HMFUS) invites all interested Healthcare Professionals within Scotland, to a Study Day on Friday 5th September 2025, to share knowledge, information and raise awareness of molar pregnancy and gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD).
The day will consist of short presentations from staff within the Scottish Hydatidiform Mole Service and is aimed at any healthcare professional interested in finding out more about the service and the role it plays in the patient journey. There will also be some patient perspectives and stories shared. Please see the full programme outline attached.
Key learning outcomes include understanding the classification and characteristics of GTD, recognising the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, awareness of current international guidelines and protocols, the role of pathology and genetics, and the importance of a mutli-disciplinary team approach for diagnosis and management.
The event will be held from 9:45 to 16:00 in the Improvement Academy at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
