2 years of research led me to this... The Periodic Table of Innovation

A Seminar on Innovation and Great Ideas

Join us!

Join us for a unique opportunity to hear from Mike Hutcheson, AUT Adjunct Professor and ex-Managing Director of Saatchi and Saatchi.

Mike has preached the gospel of ‘innovation’ for over forty years and in today’s rapidly changing business environment, this message is even more important than ever.

He firmly believes in Dr Peter Drucker’s dictum; ‘Business has only two functions, innovation and marketing, everything else is a cost’.

In a world where people often do not know what to do with their great business idea Mike offers a brilliantly simple roadmap for any aspiring entrepreneur, business leader or organisation to follow - with the Periodic Table of Innovation.

He created the Table after years of running businesses, big and small.

“I have always wanted to provide New Zealand innovators and entrepreneurs with a methodology for de-risking new business development. Most aspects of business are taught in silos with very little cross over between disciplines.

Over the past decade I have been lecturing and consulting corporates and incubators on the importance of creative thought and how it is fostered and applied in New Zealand business. Like Sir Ken Robinson, Mike believes Innovation is the child of creativity.

By drawing on countless interviews and priceless conversations with business leaders I have collated a set of practical protocols and insights in the form of a Periodic Table of Innovation. The table offers a framework as a tool for business validation and new product development.”

With his expertise, charisma and ability to tell memorable and impactful stories, we invite you to have some fun and hear how you can launch your idea or how your organisation can innovate and construct your ideas amid a climate of uncertainty and change.

He will be joined by Catherine Newton, Director of Success at AUT for the Paper Mike and Catherine co-teach, the Practical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme and founder of www.catherinenewton.com.

Mike Hutcheson and Catherine Newton have killer track records helping businesses achieve real results. Their inspiring stories and grounded direction have helped hundreds discover how to take their mindset, skillset and innovation strategies to a whole new level!
