Join Hunger at Home for a lively drive-in event in support of our food relief efforts. Help us Feed It Forward! To-go gourmet dinners!

About this event

Bridge the Gap Gala – Drive In Edition

How it works:

Step 1: Decide what time slot you want to attend. The event runs from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Each vehicle is allotted 30 minutes to drive the event route and enjoy the entertainment. By choosing a certain time, you can pick the time that works best for you. Plan to spend approximately 30 minutes enjoying the entertainment & activities before picking up your dinners.

There will be a contactless By-Pass Lane for those who wish to drive through and pick up their meals without staying for the entertainment.

If you want to drive the By-Pass Lane:

  1. Choose any time slot to get started.
  2. Purchase the number and type of dinners you want.
  3. Arrive anytime between 4 pm and 7 pm (even outside your time slot).
  4. After registration, choose the By-Pass Lane.
  5. Drive through and pick up your gourmet dinners & wine pairing.
  6. Enjoy your gourmet dinners at home.

Note: the purchased time slot is for one vehicle entry. Please register separately for each vehicle.

Step 2: Select the number of tickets you'd like to purchase (based on the time slot you want to attend and the number of to-go dinners for your vehicle and the meal type).

Step 3: Help Feed It Forward by choosing the Feed It Forward donation ticket and entering your donation amount.

$10 buys a meal for one person. The more you Feed It Forward through your donation, the more families we can support. Your donation helps ensure no one goes hungry.

Step 4: On the day of the event, arrive at the venue as close to your assigned time as possible and check in at registration (By-Pass Lane is open the entire duration from 4 pm to 7 pm).

NOTE: We encourage you to come in your best Halloween Style, whether that is a costume or fancy gala attire is up to you!

Your car is now our Gala photo booth. Employing a selfie stick, for safe distance, we’ll capture the moment from the neck up!

Step 5: From the comfort of your vehicle, follow the course and enjoy the entertainment, raffle and surprises along the way!

Step 6: Quickly reheat your dinner at home and enjoy your dinner & wine at your leisure.

FYI: Each dinner ticket purchased includes a to-go five-course gourmet dinner (with oven reheating instructions), a wine pairing, and great entertainment.

Each Feed It Forward donation will be used to purchase meals for our neighbors in need.

Important things to note:

The entire course will take approximately 30 minutes. Please maintain a safe distance between vehicles while on the route. All guests will remain in their vehicles throughout the event. Entertainment, raffle and dinner pick-up is safely designed to be contactless. Please wear a face mask any time your vehicle is stopped and your windows are down. Any changes in dinner choices or occupant information may be made up to 10 days prior to the event.

HUNGER AT HOME HAS TAKEN ADVANCED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES FOR BOTH OUR ATTENDEES AND OUR STAFF AS THIS IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.

  • Our event is outside in the open air with participants driving through and staying in cars.
  • We are providing a contactless experience including registration via scanning of your mobile device or printed ticket from a safe distance.
  • All of our event volunteers will be required to wear masks & social distance at all times when working.
  • Frequent hand sanitizing will be required by all volunteers.

    We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you and our event staff. Even so, there is still an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public places where people are present.

    By attending the Bridge the Gap Gala – Drive In Edition, you voluntarily assume all risks related to any exposure to COVID-19.

Organizer of Hunger at Home Bridge the Gap Gala – Drive In Edition

Each day in Silicon Valley, tens of thousands of pounds of excess food and surplus goods are dumped in our landfills and go to waste. In a Valley where one in three people experience food insecurity, Hunger at Home was created to connect the food and goods with those in need. Hunger at Home partners with local convention centers, hotels, and sports stadiums to collect excess food and goods to distribute to the hungry and homeless through a robust nonprofit network. To date, Hunger at Home has donated 9 million meals locally and helped distribute much needed items like towels, blankets, kitchen items, and hygiene kits. Hunger at Home also helps the clients of its nonprofit partners with job training and placement in the very businesses that donate excess food.
