Event description
Please join us for an event in honor of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

About this Event

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is a nationwide endeavor by the National Coalition for the Homeless to promote education, action, and awareness about hunger and homelessness. On November 22, 2019 Your Way Home invites the Community to join us on the Montgomery County Courthouse Steps to hear from Dr. Valerie Arkoosh, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners and other local leaders about the 2020 Census and the importance of making sure that all residents count in our County.

This event will be held outside on the Courthouse steps in solidarity with our friends and neighbors who will be forced to sleep outside during the cold winter months. Canned food and non-perishable items will be collected at the event by MontCo Hunger Solutions. Suggested donation items include: canned tuna and chicken, beef stew, peanut butter, healthy cereal, and low-sodium canned vegetables and soups.
