HUMANS ONLINE: Monthly Breakfast Club - Public/Private & Escape/Control
Event Information
About this event
Last week we had a great online meeting with introductions into the themes of sexuality, death, and anthropology of space travel. Let's connect the breakfast discussions loosely to these themes.
What do these have in common?
Why do these matter for an organization working on their strategy?
Tea Latvala spoke about her history with developing the Teatiamo brand, Anna Haverinen shared some of her thoughts and research on how death is understood and overlooked in the development of digital services. Sanna Rauhala and Aleksi Ilpala closed the Friday night by giving the most delightful crash course on the anthropology of space travel.
Death, sex, and space travel are all about crossing borders: Public vs. private, living vs. death, terrestrial vs. extra-terrestrial, us vs. them. They all have something to do with trust, escape, and control.
How should organizations treat these border-crossings in their strategy?
How should human sciences help organizations make sense of them?
What else can we learn?
Join us in a relaxed breakfast discussion on these topics on Tuesday the 3rd of November 8.00-9.30.
