Event Details

This workshop, conducted by HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers), will provide participants with teaching skills, humane communication strategies and guidance on implementing humane education lessons. Attendees will receive a copy of HEART's Humane Education Resource Guide, filled with activities and lessons on a variety of animal protection topics for K-12 grade students.

It will also include an overview of humane education laws, ways to improve their enforcement, and the role of lawyers and concerned citizens in advocating for humane education implementation. This portion of the workshop will be led by HEART’s Executive Director, Meena Alagappan, who is the former Chair of the Animal Law Committees of the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar.

Please send any questions about the workshop to Mickey Kudia at mickey@teachhumane.org.
