Humane Consumption: A TEDxLincoln Salon
Date and time
Humane Consumption is an exploration into sustainable modern living, and the powers we have as consumers to curb global climate change.
About this event
Out of 7.6 billion people on Earth, what difference do you make?
When faced with the weight of global climate change, environmental pollution, and mass ecological destruction - how can YOU tip the scales in a better direction?
In our first 2021 Salon, we will explore this idea of Humane Consumption: The powers we have to drive our modern world towards a truly sustainable future, if we choose to come together as humane consumers .
With several local topic experts led by Jack Rodenburg, a 2018 TEDxYouth@Lincoln Speaker, we will dive into the hidden story behind modern societal consumption, and uncover the every day actions we can take today in order to create positive, lasting change in our local communities and beyond.
Join us July 16th at the Antelope Park Bandshell for an evening of fun, discovery, and empowerment!
Event begins at 5pm with live music, a vegan cuisine pop up, nonprofit volunteer sign up opportunities, and a plant giveaway.
Show begins at 6 pm.
Optional nature walk guided by experts on edible urban plants begins at 7 pm. (Reserving a Nature Walk ticket includes BOTH the Salon and Nature Walk.)
