Human Trafficking in the U.S. - A Call to ACTION
Date and time
Human trafficking is a heinous crime and abuse of human rights. Join us to learn more about this crime and what we can do to help.
About this event
Katherine Kaulfka Walts, J.D., Director of the Center for Human Rights of Children at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, will provide an overview of U. S. anti-trafficking laws and policies, new and promising practices, challenges, and a call for a broader human rights framework to empower survivors. The impact of the pandemic on trafficking survivors will also be covered.
We hope to have representatives from local law enforcement and agencies that help survivors in our area present to give brief updates and help us to understand how we can help.
