Event Details

Fletcher alum and WGBH News reporter Phillip Martin, in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists, the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University, and the Ford Foundation, traveled across the Unites States and Asia to explore the modern slave trade of human trafficking. His work won the Gold Award for excellence in programming from the United Nations’ Department of Public Information and New York Festivals.
Phillip was a Harvard University Nieman Fellow from 1997 to 1998 and a U.S.-Japan Media Fellow in 1997. He earned his MALD from the Fletcher School and studied international protection of human rights law at Harvard Law School, as well as journalism at the University of California at Berkeley in the Program for Minority Journalists.
