Join us for a FREE COMMUNITY AWARENESS EVENT to learn more about Human Trafficking in the Halton Region. Attendees will learn more about the realities of Human Trafficking in Halton, and will hear from survivors and local agencies who are working to prevent exploitation in our region, including:

• Halton Regional Police Services
• Elizabeth Fry Society of Peel-Halton
• 4:One Oakville
• Halton Collaborative Against Human Trafficking (HCAHT)
• SAVIS of Halton
• The Women’s Support Network of York Region

The morning will consist of individual speakers followed by a panel discussion in the afternoon.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided free of charge. Donations of hygiene supplies and new backpacks will gladly be accepted and used to support survivors.

The Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Services (SAVIS) of Halton is a non-profit agency that provides support to all survivors of violence. We offer one-on-one counselling services for female-identified, male-identified persons, and members of the Transgendered and gender fluid community (14+) who are survivors of abuse, including childhood sexual abuse. We also offer counselling and resources for family members, friends and support persons. At SAVIS we believe that survivors of violence are experts in their own healing. All of our services are free and confidential.
