Description

Human trafficking is human slavery. 50% of it's victims are children under age 18 and it is an epidemic in the Bay Area.

We invite the general public to a panel discussion among Bay Area experts to share how individuals can help the fight against Human Trafficking.

Topics Covered:

  • Personal stories and risk factors
  • Workplace involvement in the fight against human trafficking in the Bay Area
  • Technology coupled with Leadership can multiply how we nurture each other, grow relationships and share ideas across the world
  • What YOU can do to combat trafficking in your community
  • Resources available to report trafficking and assist victims with their recovery

Presenters Include:

  • Renee Cage-Watson, Program Manager Adoption and Legal Guardianship, Alameda County Department of Children and Family Services
  • Robyn Levinson, Coordinator for the Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Watch Program, Alameda County Distric Attorney's Office
  • Betty Ann Hagenau, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Manager, Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition
  • Peter Andrada, IT Manager FireEye, Technology On-Line Safety Expert


Requested donation of $20 to be distributed to presenting agencies involved in the fight.

Hosted at AT&T's East Bay campus by Women of AT&T, a non-profit resource group of AT&T employees and retirees whose mission is to foster personal & professional development and affect change in the community
