The Hutraf maiden event is hosted by the Department of Justice and Equality Ireland.

OVERVIEW

The rising rate of human trafficking especially of women and girls is an indicator that there is so much to be done if the Africa and the world wants to improve the standard of living for all because the women are the pillars of the society. The Global Slavery Index maintains that modern day slavery is most prevalent in Africa (with 9.24 million slaves). Human trafficking is a high profit, low risk business which allows traffickers to generally operate with impunity.
