Description

The Cultural Diversity Health Literacy Committee at Bronx Health Access is proud to present the next Cultural Diversity lecture focused on Human Trafficking.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • To define and understand the severity and scope of human trafficking within the legal framework in both New York City and New York State;

  • To learn how to identify the red flags related to trafficking of minors and adults in clinical and social service settings;

  • To understand the issue of trauma and the importance of utilizing a trauma-informed lens when working with patients and clients;

  • To learn practical skills, resources, and tools needed to increase efficacy in supporting survivors of trafficking.
