Description
The Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office of Diversity & Human Rights (ODHR) and the Salt Lake City Human Rights Commission are excited to host the 2016 Human Rights Day Celebration. The Celebration commemorates December 10, 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Human Rights Day is celebrated across the globe to raise awareness about local and international efforts to improve human rights for all individuals.
We invite you to attend the annual Human Rights Day Celebration held on Saturday, December 10th at 6:00pm at the Sorenson Unity Center, 1383 South 900 West in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The international human rights day event is a wonderful occasion to celebrate human rights work happening on the ground in Salt Lake City. This unconventional holiday party will serve up an array of delicious nouveau cuisine and multicultural entertainment among others with dancers from Nepal, a champion Native American Hoop Dancer Patrick Willie and a special performance by Monika Jalili with songs of love and hope from Iran.
