Human Rights Careers Day 2019 - London
Event Information
Description
The 2019 Human Rights Careers Day by the Human Rights Lawyers' Association Young Lawyers Committee will take place on Saturday 19 October, generously hosted by Goldsmiths, University of London.
This (free!) Careers Day is for students and those considering working in human rights law to hear from leading human rights barristers, solicitors, campaigners and academics, who will discuss how different sectors of the human rights legal profession can work together to achieve change.
This event will feature a mixture of panel discussions and break-out discussions, the event will explore how research, legal advice, litigation, advocacy and other techniques can be used to protect human rights, and students and early-stage lawyers are able to ask questions about the practicalities of entering the profession, hearing from a diverse group of people working in human rights.
The event will be opened by a talk from the Head of Civil Liberties and Human Rights at Garden Court Chambers, Maya Sikand.
