Please join LBTC for our February seminar presented by labor and employment law expert E. Frederick Preis, Jr. on: Human Resources and Labor/Employment Guidance for Emerging Businesses.
The seminar provides a simplified look into the complex subject of human resources and the legal pitfalls many start-up businesses face. Preis will educate attendees on common labor law and employment relations topics including the basics of human resources, how to hire productive and cooperative employees, how to manage employee work performance and the typical legal issues start-up businesses endure.
E. Frederick Preis, Jr. has over 30 years of management experience in labor and employment law, and serves as a current partner at the Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson law firm. Preis has worked as a trial lawyer and advisor for various trade associations, Fortune 500 companies and mid-sized businesses. He has received leadership recognition from multiple media outlets including: CityBusiness newspaper, Super Lawyers magazine and the news publication Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Preis has also written numerous scholarly articles on employment law that appeared in the Loyola Law Review, The Corporate Counselor, Employee Relations Law Journal, CityBusiness, and the Louisiana State Bar Journal. He is the contributing editor to The Developing Labor Law book published by the American Bar Association, and the co-author to the business law book Executive Compensation, which is published by Matthew Bender.
Seminar lunch and networking begins at 11:45 a.m. on February 13. The workshop will start at 12:00 p.m.
