The Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) and the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) are pleased to announce a one day workshop to help illustrate and enhance the integration of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) methodologies within health care education and delivery.
This workshop will explore the use of two specific methods currently being applied in patient safety improvement by different expert teams:
Enhanced Significant Event Analysis
FRAM (Functional Resilience Analysis Method) - a technique to analyse complexity in systems and enhance organisational resilience
The workshop will feature presentation of different case studies to enable participants to discuss the techniques used in more depth and gain an appreciation of the application of HFE across a range of health care contexts and purposes. Tickets will be limited deliberately in order to promote small group discussion and interaction.
Future workshops will explore different techniques and healthcare contexts in order to highlight the breadth of methodologies available and help develop a network of healthcare and HFE practitioners interested in their application. Find out more about these via the ASPiH website
