Join us on Tuesday, May 9 at 6:30 PM in the Wayne R. Widener Auditorium at The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology to learn the latest in genomics and biotech discoveries.
Pharmacogenomics is a rapidly growing field that deals with how genetic changes affect the way a person responds to certain medications. Genetic changes are part of the explanation for why a medicine may work spectacularly in one person, not at all for another, and produce harmful side effects in a third. Testing for these genetic changes can provide valuable clues for healthcare providers to use when making decisions about medication type and dosage amount. This HudsonAlpha U Night event will dig into the emerging field of pharmacogenomics and what it can, and cannot, tell you about your health.
HudsonAlpha U Nights are a series of evening educational events held on the HudsonAlpha campus. Upcoming planned 2023 U Nights events include:
- September 12 – “Understanding the Genetics of Ancestry” in the Wayne R. Widener Auditorium at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.
