Team 5123 is pleased to announce that the inaugural Hudson Valley Rally Offseason Event will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2016 at the Yonkers Police Athletic League at 127 North Broadway in Yonkers, NY. Catering to FRC teams from New York City and the Greater NYC Metro Area, we are welcoming up to 30 teams!

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The event is located at 127 North Broadway Yonkers, NY, 10701 at the Yonkers Police Athletic League gym and neighboring National Guard Armory. The event site is easily accessible via Route 9 (North Broadway) from the Saw Mill River Parkway.

Parking is free, but limited and located next to the event. Bus parking available. Once the parking lot fills up, street parking is prohibited and the alternative parking is the Buena Vista garage which will charge an hourly rate.

What are my hotel/lodging options near the event?

If you will be spending the night here in Yonkers, there are several hotels in the area. The local Hampton Inn (located at 160 Corporate Blvd, Yonkers, NY 10701) will be offering a special group rate for those attending HVR and staying Friday night.

How do we load in the robot at the event?

Unfortunately, teams will not have access to the loading dock, so we recommend that you pack lightly for your back's sake! The pit areas will be in the neighboring armory to the gym where the field and spectator stands will be located. Robots must cross the small street separating the two buildings prior to the queue (this street will be closed by local police during the event to accommodate robot traffic). Please have a sturdy cart! During load in, all team materials will be off loaded in the armory parking lot and carried to the armory's interior.
