Event description

Description

The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. Join the LiftFund Women's Business Center and Theresa Scott of the SBA San Antonio District Office for an informative seminar about how to obtain HUBZone certification for your small business, and how it can help you gain access to federal contracts and business opportunities.

The objective of the SBA's 8(a) program is to promote socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses who are interested in selling to and doing business with the federal government. The 8(a) Certification can be an essential instrument for socially & economically disadvantaged small businesses in an effort to stimulate business opportunities and job growth.

SBA Business Development Specialist Theresa Scott will outline the eligibility requirements and the application process - come learn about the HUBZone and 8(a) programs!
