Join us on Thursday, December 8, 2016 for the next HTC Health Tech Innovators Affinity Group meeting; we’ll be exploring the topic of how innovation can improve healthcare outcomes and reduce disparities for everyone. Our keynote speaker is Neil Carpenter, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Research at LifeBridge Health and we’ll have two presentations; first, BioFactura, a biopharmaceutical development company, followed by Tissue Analytics, a company that is bringing wound care into the 21st century.
Keynote Neil Carpenter is the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Research at LifeBridge Health (a $2B integrated healthcare delivery system in the Baltimore area with 4 hospitals, 25+ urgent cares, 500+ employed physicians and several nursing homes). In this role, Neil oversees strategic planning for the enterprise as well as its clinical research and innovation efforts.
The innovation strategy at LifeBridge is defined by 4 pillars, 1) protecting the health system’s intellectual property 2) Leveraging Sinai’s bio incubator to increase access to recruit new clinical trials or new medical devices for our patients. 3) Piloting new health information technologies, with a focus on solutions that expand LifeBridge’s market reach or reduce the total cost of care for payers 4) Co-developing technology solutions for health systems - solving strategic challenges for the health system, while also generating health system equity in start-up business.
