Description

HSA Department of Art & Design presents
The Art of Sedrick Huckaby and Letitia Huckaby

HSA Department of Art & Design presents The Art of Sedrick Huckaby and Letitia Huckaby. The exhibition will highlight the harmonious juxtaposition of the married artists. Sedrick Huckaby is known for large-scale portraits rendered in thick impasto. His densely built-up paintings portray the artist’s friends and family on a monumental scale, elevating them to the status of Renaissance. Letitia Huckaby fuses photography, quilting, silk screening and a vast expanse of media with a distinctly regional sensibility but worldwide appeal, primarily exploring her own family history and African-American heritage.
