HUMAN RIGHTS SPEAKER SERIES
presents


Human Rights and Civil Liberties:
One Year After the Inauguration


The panel will feature representatives from leading advocacy groups discussing how the Trump Administration’s policies and rhetoric have impacted human rights and civil liberties. Panelists will provide their perspective on what is next for the resistance.

  • Maria Sjodin, Deputy Executive Director, OutRight Action International (formerly the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission)

  • Adam P. Romero, Director of Legal Scholarship and Federal Policy, Arnold D. Kassoy Scholar of Law, Williams Institute, UCLA School of Law

  • Yosimar Reyes, Nationally Acclaimed Poet, Educator, and Activist

The mission of the City of West Hollywood’s Human Rights Speakers Series is to bring together diverse communities to learn about and discuss global, national and local human rights issues in a supportive environment. It is a continuation of the City of West Hollywood’s core value of Respect and Support for People.

ID Required. Sorry. No Exceptions. ID must match First and Last Name on our RSVP list. All Guests Must be listed on RSVP.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking with validation at West Hollywood Park/Library 5-Story Lot. Enter at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd.

What can I bring into the event?

No picket signs or signage of any kind, large bags or noisemakers. No outside food or beverages.
