HR^2 is an event series for executives and HR professionals on the Future of HR. It provides a unique platform to exchange learnings & best practices between executives and HR professionals from different companies and industries. Every event is addressing new trends and strategies in HR-, people- and organization-related topics.

The event is organized by Leapsome and the Institut Für Neue Arbeit. It takes place at St.Oberholz in Berlin-Mitte (Zehdenicker Str. 1).

3. Edition: The future of continuous learning at work

Accelerating technological change disrupts the paradigms of learning. Skills learnt in school, university or vocational training become outdated much faster than in the past. New skills have to be acquired continuously and on the job.

Tough competition for specialized talent at this time of rapid change makes it increasingly challenging to hire senior experts. Many organizations therefore revert to “breeding them in-house”.

Executives, HR and Learning & Development professionals at small and big companies are raising important questions: How will our employees acquire new skills? What’s most effective? How do you calculate the business case and ROI for learning?

A panel discussion on the future of continuous learning at work, followed by networking with our distinguished guests.

Rebecca Löffler, Head of Education, SAP.iO Intrapreneurship Program

Rebecca Löffler is Head of Education of the SAP.iO Intrapreneurship Program. SAP.iO Intrapreneurship is a best-in-class internal accelerator program at that identifies high-potential entrepreneurial employees – globally across all SAP organizations and geographies reaching 90,000 employees – and develops them into successful leaders who run growth businesses in new markets. Rebecca designs the education program for intrapreneurs and coordinates the mentor network across all regions and board areas of SAP. She believes that entrepreneurship can be learned, given the right education and context.


Nicolas Dittberner, Head of Europe, Udacity

Nico is head of Europe at Udacity, the leading provider of cutting-edge online learning courses, and is responsible for market growth and strategy in the region. Nicolas is an expert in internationalisation and has broad and thorough knowledge when it comes to establishing new products in different markets. Prior to leading Udacity in Europe, Nico was country manager for the German-speaking countries at Upwork, co-founded the social shopping platform Ondango, and was also one of the first employees of the ad-tech platform Fyber. Nicolas has an MBA from the Technical University of Munich and is startup mentor for various organisations such as Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, Berlin Startup Academy and at Technical University of Munich.


Margaux Pelen, Head of Partnerships, CODE University of Applied Sciences / Edtech Strategist

Margaux Pelen is a French entrepreneur and an edtech strategist on a mission to bring higher education closer to real-life challenges. After founding her first company in data analysis, she became the director of the entrepreneurship center of HEC Paris and was awarded a full scholarship to attend Singularity University. She is currently serving as the Head of Corporates & Partnerships at CODE, a brand-new state-recognized University opening its doors in October. She also consults HR pioneers on the future of work.


Lara Ruppertz, Learning Lead, Zalando

Starting out as a School Teacher Lara jumped industries in 2013 to engage with EdTech, Business and Software Development. Lara was responsible for didactical and pedagogical framework for MOOC development at iversity, soon heading the course development and partner support teams, researching MOOC design and learning analytics. Lara joined Zalando 2016 as the Learning Lead of Zalando's Tech Academy evolving it from incidental learning team to a professional learning and development unit for Zalando's Tech Community.


Moderated by: Jenny v. Podewils, Co-Founder, Leapsome

Jenny is one of the co-founders of Berlin-based HR-tech startup Leapsome. Leapsome provides a software platform for smart talent development including continuous peer feedback, intelligent people analytics and agile performance management. She previously worked in media and tech in different business and leadership roles. During her time at Singularity University in Silicon Valley she explored solutions to navigate job disruptions and accelerate organizational productivity. Her passion is to leverage the transition to people-centric & meaningful work at times of accelerating technological change.
