How Young Children Learn - the Right Beginnings (a response to the Bold Beginnings report)


This course will include an overview of -

- research based foundation to what Early Years practitioners know about how young children learn

- the dangers of pulling young children into formal learning too early v. Scandinavian / European experience

- how to resist pressure and hang on to what we know is right for early learning

- what the report say about what we want for our children and their future?


About Jane -

Jane Hurdiss is an EYFS Specialist with extensive experience of leading and teaching in Dorset Schools. As a Headteacher, Jane led the Grove Infants School, Portland to OUTSTANDING Ofsted School Status.

Jane has recently completed her Masters Degree in Early Years Education.

Jane has a passion to see school’s embrace good EYFS practice and a develop a whole-school culture which promotes independent learning.
