About this event
The majority of us live in a death denying culture. Rather than viewing death as integral to the cycle of life, many people resist thoughts and refuse to plan for what will happen at the time of death and afterwards. This class will help you consider your relationships with God, with family, with community, and with yourself so that you may meet death with acceptance and grace. By doing so, you also make the grieving process easier for your family and friends.
About the presenter: Janice Zitelman, LCSW, now retired, had a 30 year career as a social worker, working with hospice, home health, nursing homes and case management. Janice has had the pleasure of walking beside those in the later stages of life, aiding families in the preparation and journey to death. Janice has a passion for educating others on this journey in order to reduce the stress and stain on loved ones, allowing them to grieve without additional stress of the unknown.
