How We Make Movies is a live audience interview podcast that gives successful indie filmmakers the chance to share their stories. Learn firsthand what goes into creating films that get seen, and creating a career doing what you love!
Filmmakers are interviewed on stage by Amanda Lippert, followed by 20 minutes of audience questions. This is your chance to ask for tips, advice and insight on the process of filmmaking. Become a better filmmaker by learning from those that are doing it!
7:30pm Director Anthony DiBlasi and Producer Ryan Turek will be talking about the making of his new thriller MISSIONARY which is released on Halloween this year. The film is about Katherine (Dawn Olivieri), a struggling mother trying to create a better life for her and her son. She meets Elder Brock (Mitch Ryan), a handsome Mormon missionary with a troubled past and they begin an incendiary love affair. But when Katherine reunites with her estranged husband, Brock’s obsessions and insanity take over as he can't accept that things are over. 9:00pm Writer/Director Jack Plotnick and Producer Rachel Ward will be discussing his latest comedy, SPACE STATION 76, starring Liv Tyler, Jerry O'Connell, Marisa Coughlan and Patrick Wilson. The film was purchased by Sony pictured and hailed by io9 as, "The Greatest Space Comedy since Galaxy Quest." Jack is also an award winning actor and performance coach, most recently starring in the feature film "Wrong", recurring on "The Mentalist", and co-writing/directing the Off-Broadway musical, "Disaster!".
