Event description
It's fun, topical, and folks just need to bring something to write with - pen and paper or cellphone!

About this Event

Gain skills in critical analysis by sorting through your ideas, researching & then put them into a format that allows you to share them. Lisa Loving will help add ethical guidelines as well.

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: organize their key thoughts with the goal of sharing them with others, and learn a few digital platforms where they can share their opinions with the goal of participating in the marketplace of ideas.

Loving has boiled down the process of How to Write Your Rant to a few key steps that will serve participants every time they need to explain an important point -- and sort through other peoples' important points -- for years to come.

Happening on Thursday Nov. 14, 2019 from 630-830pm. Limit: 20-24 people

Loving's book will be available for purchase, the workshop is free to attend. Pizza and ice cream or potluck casseroles is optional!

About Loving's Book: "Street Journalist: Understand and Report the News in Your Community"

Responsible journalism begins with you! A corrupt politician. A local business in trouble. A neighbor with a heroic story. An opportunity to work together for positive change.

Whatever the stories are in your community that most need to be told, the best person to tell them is you. Whether you're writing for your local newspaper, producing a podcast or video series, or simply sharing what you see and learn every day on social media, the power of journalism is in your hands, as is the responsibility to use it ethically and wisely.
