Event description

Description

In this two hour workshop participants will work with poet and educator, Imani Sims to generate new poetry and prose around the borders we physically, mentally, and emotionally confront daily. We will explore best practices from authors like Anastacia Tolbert, Patricia Smith, Danez Smith, Warsan Shire, and many others. This workshop will inspire your vulnerability and creativity. Attendance is free, but RSVP requested.

Imani Sims is a published poet, educator and impresario with an infinitely rippling love for poetry in all of its forms. She believes in the healing power of words and the transformational nuance of the human story. Imani lives in Seattle, WA where she performs her poetry and continues to share her story and collect the stories of other QWOC.
