Description
In "How to Write Blog Posts People Will Read," my five-lesson class for financial advisors, you will learn how to
- Generate and refine ideas for blog posts that will engage your readers
- Organize your thoughts before you write, so you can write more quickly and effectively
- Edit your writing, so it's reader-friendly and appealing
Newsletter subscribers and clients pay only $600 if they register by January 9 ($900 after January 9) in return for participating fully and providing detailed feedback. The FULL PRICE for the class is $1,200.
When you participate fully in this class, you'll end up with one polished blog post--and a process you can follow to generate many more.
How you'll get there
- Small class--limited to 16 advisors--so you don't have to compete for the instructor's feedback. Research shows that people learn best when they act on new information, including applying an instructor's feedback.
- Lessons will be posted weekly--Recordings (.mp3 format) and handouts will become available for downloading on January 23, January 30, February 6, February 13, and February 20. You get a two-week grace period following the end of class to submit your homework for feedback.
- Convenience because you can listen to the recordings from anywhere with a computer or an .mp3 player, with the handout that you print from your computer. You can access the private website for the class from anywhere to post your assignments or download materials.
- Private website lets you post your homework and questions for personalized feedback from the instructor.
- Guidance through a step-by-step process of writing blog posts, including
- Generating blog post topics
- Organizing your thoughts before you write
- Positioning your blog post to appeal to readers
- Editing your posts to boost their reader-friendliness
- "Hands on" practice through completing your homework assignments
- Phone calls for posing questions "live"--Interactive calls are scheduled at 1 p.m. Eastern on Thursdays, including January 24, January 31, and additional Thursday 1 p.m. sessions on dates to be determined, based on student interest. The calls focus on your challenges and questions. If you miss the call, you can listen later to a recording.
- Resources for the future because you can download
- Class recordings
- Class handouts
- Feedback from a seasoned financial writer-editor whose clients range from the country's largest asset managers to solo professionals to trade and retail publications
